A straight answer to “should I buy?”

GoWinDhan is a free calculator that compares buying a home in India with renting and investing the difference, using your own numbers.

Why it exists

Buying a home is the biggest money decision most of us make, and often the one made with the least information. GoWinDhan exists to help people make well-informed, profitable decisions about it.

Most buy vs rent advice in India comes from people who earn when you buy: builders, brokers and loan agents. Most online calculators only show the EMI. We wanted something that puts both choices side by side, year by year, and shows its working.

Who builds it

GoWinDhan is built by Sri Naga Vinay Mutyala (LinkedIn). Questions, corrections and ideas come straight to me (see Contact below).

How we stay unbiased

• No builder, broker or bank tie-ups. Nobody pays us to make buying, or renting, look better.
• No sign-up, no ads. You don't hand over your phone number to see a result.
• Every formula is public. How it works walks through the full method with a worked example, and every result has a “The Math” tab showing the calculation with your inputs.
• Sources are named. Locality price trends come from the RBI House Price Index, NHB Residex, Anarock, Knight Frank and 99acres.

What it isn't

GoWinDhan is an educational tool, not financial advice, and we aren't SEBI-registered advisers. The results are estimates built on assumptions you choose. Before a decision this large, please speak to a SEBI-registered adviser.
